Aims

The journalism department curriculum places special emphasis on online publishing and aims to help students keep up with the times in parallel with advancing communication technologies. The student take elective and profession related courses alongside compulsory fundamental courses. In addition to experienced faculty members, professionals from the media sector also share their knowledge and expertise with the students.

Objectives

The Journalism Department of Istanbul Arel University aims to provide students with a multidimensional approach to education, convey contemporary developments in communication science, and offer general cultural knowledge that will help them excel in their profession.

In the seventh semester, students who complete mandatory internships at various media outlets have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the industry and learn the intricacies of the profession alongside being guided toward specialization in the field of journalism. Additionally, students complete their four-year undergraduate education with a graduation project in the 8th semester.
